Handling Sharps waste safely on site:

“Sharps” are considered to be a type of biowaste capable of cutting or piercing such as; blades, needles of any kind, root canal files, broken glass that has been contaminated with biohazardous waste (like blood).

Sharps should only be disposed of in a labeled “Sharps” container. This should be a rigid and puncture resistant container (meeting standards and approval of the FDA and USDOT), and should not be lined with a bag or inner liner.

Surgery equipment such as Scalpels, Tweezers and Scissors

Precision Biowaste Services Provided:

One of our certified technicians will make a medical waste service stop at your business location, according to your scheduled service frequency specified in your Medical Waste Service Agreement.

DOT approved and properly labelled medical waste containers must be used for all Regulated medical waste to ensure DOT transportation compliance. Once they are permanently sealed, customer-provided single-use Sharps containers may be placed into the reusable medical waste containers for transport, treatment and disposal.

All customers will also have access to their own online portal to log in and see all service manifests and upcoming service calendar. On-line training, in a wide variety of medical and medical waste-related subjects, including Bloodborne Pathogens, can also be economically added to all Precision Biowaste Services Medical Waste Service Agreements.
