Handling Biowaste (Red Bag) safely on site:
“Biohazardous” waste is considered to be a type of biowaste that contains blood or any other potentially infectious materials (OPIM), and if improperly disposed may create the risk of spreading disease to humans and the environment.
All biohazardous waste should only be disposed of in a red biohazard bag that is impervious to moisture, leak-resistant, and labeled for “Biohazardous Waste” The sealed bag must be contained within a USDOT approved red, rigid, leak-resistant, puncture-proof secondary container that has a tight-fitting lid and with the biohazard symbol and "BIOHAZARD" on the lid and all visible sides
Precision Biowaste Services Provided:
One of our certified technicians will make a medical waste service stop at your business location, according to your scheduled service frequency specified in your Medical Waste Service Agreement.
Your Medical Waste Service Technician will remove all containers with medical waste stored in the designated storage area, then replace the reusable container(s) and red bag liner(s). Finally, our technician will review waste removed, ask if any additional waste needs to be removed, and request acknowledging signature, completing the service manifest.
DOT approved reusable medical waste containers and Red Bag container liners are provided without charge by Precision Biowaste Services. These, or other similarly DOT approved containers, must be used for all Regulated medical waste to ensure DOT transportation compliance.
All customers will also have access to their own online portal to log in and see all service manifests and upcoming service calendar. On-line training, in a wide variety of medical and medical waste-related subjects, including Bloodborne Pathogens, can also be economically added to all Precision Biowaste Services Medical Waste Service Agreements.
